The Devil Prowling Around the Strip Club

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭8

I felt him prowling about tonight in the strip clubs. He was more like a wolf in the shadows, but I sensed him every time he passed by the table where I was praying with one of my dancers.

Carolyn said she felt waves of pure evil wash through. We were definitely disrupting the atmosphere!

The Indy 500 is taking place in Indianapolis this weekend. The race capital will overflow with drunkenness, fornication, and prostitution. I can feel the momentum building.

But, it’s also Pentecost Sunday, and he who is in us is greater than he who is in the world!

Evil passed through, but so did the Holy Spirit.

We had some incredible encounters with a few dancers in a couple clubs. Obvious divine appointments. One in particular is someone who has been contacting me regularly. I hadn’t seen her in ages as she’s not been dancing much, so we talked for nearly an hour, and I earnestly prayed over her.

She’s been saved, is going to church on Sundays with her aunt, Bible studies on Wednesdays, and is desperately hungry for God. She recently went through a 28-day rehab and is clean and sober, with a holy fear of the Lord instilled in her.

The enemy was not happy we were talking so long at a table right by the stage. There was an argument right next to us, a drunken man tried to disturb us, and all kinds of other malarkey.

I wasn’t having it. I upped my prayers and was warring in the spirit.

That’s when I felt the wolf encroaching. I warned her to keep her guard up. I encouraged her to keep praying. She’s desperate to get out of that club. I’m desperate for the Lord to make a way.

Several other girls we haven’t seen in a while ran up to us, giving us hugs, and saying they’ve missed us. No wonder the enemy had me questioning earlier in the night if I should put the strip club ministry down for a bit.

Well, I see you Satan, and that ain’t happening! Not on my watch.

However, I know when we’ve overstayed our welcome, and as the music bordered on overly disturbing, I suddenly stood up. It was time to leave.

When we got in the car, my stomach was nauseous and I was dizzy. This didn’t bother me at all because I knew it was a sign that we’d been holy disrupters tonight. We shook those clubs. We prayed for the walls to come crumbling down, and in the spirit, they did.
